Who this is for

An elector or applicant making a request that fits one of the grounds in the current Form 7.

Before you start

Open the latest Form 7 and guidelines. Removal affects the electoral roll, so make sure the person and reason are correctly identified and supported.

Key points

  • Form 7 is the current ECI form for objecting to an entry or requesting deletion on the grounds listed in its instructions. The exact grounds and who may apply must be checked in the live form.
  • This guide is not a way to report a general concern or settle a disputed record. ERO review and the current rules apply.

What to prepare

  • The electoral-roll particulars needed to identify the entry.
  • The supporting information or evidence requested for the selected reason in the current Form 7.

Steps

  1. Open Form 7 from the official Voters’ Services Portal and read the entire current instruction page.
  2. Confirm that the reason in the form matches the facts. Do not use a death, shift, or duplicate reason unless it is accurate and listed in the current form.
  3. Enter the elector and applicant details exactly as requested, attach supporting material, and review the declaration.
  4. Submit through the official channel, keep the acknowledgement, and use the status service. The entry is not removed merely because a request was submitted.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Submitting a deletion request based on assumption or incomplete information.
  • Choosing an outdated reason or relying on an old copy of the form.
  • Assuming the entry is removed before the ERO decides the request.

Short answers

Can I remove someone else’s name?

Only use Form 7 if the current form permits your role and the reason applies. Read its declarations and ask the ERO if you are unsure.

What if a name appears twice?

Use only the current process and evidence described by ECI. Do not submit a request for a duplicate unless you have checked the records and the applicable ground.

If something goes wrong

  • If the form does not fit your situation, ask the relevant ERO/BLO before filing.
  • If an application is rejected, read the status reason and follow the official response or appeal instructions provided.
  • Keep personal records private; do not send another elector’s documents to this independent site.
